SOUTH WESTERN CIRCUIT

Offers scenic environment for bird watching, picnicking, and butterfly spotting with over 300 bird species and 400 butterfly species around Lake Victoria, which is the second largest freshwater lake in the world and source of the Nile. There is a lush green highland, the tropical rain forest of Kakamega.
Situated about 20 kilometres to the west of Kisumu town,is the Kit Mikayi shrine, a rock formation about 40m high which is a legendary and religious rock. It is also known as a weeping rock.
The vibrant Luhya community hold strong to the traditional circumcision ceremonies and dances (Isikuti).

MAASAI MARA 4DAYS, 3 NIGHTS ITINERARY

Day 1
Pick up from Nairobi and depart for Maasai Mara. Arrive at a Tented camp and have lunch. Have an evening game drive at Maasai Mara Reserve, one of the top East Africa safari destinations as you explore the wilderness. With the open landscapes with woodlands and savannahs, familiarize with nature and the beauty of the reserve. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Day 2
Early breakfast will be at the camp. Thereafter, enjoy an exhilarating game drive at the vast Maasai Mara Reserve. The reserve boasts of the famous wildebeest migration and home to a number of game including lion, cheetah, leopard and herbivores. Lunch will be at Tented camp. Enjoy an evening game drive within the reserve. Most cats are active in the evening and this is the chance to spot some of them. On clear days the Mara offers a spectacular sunset view worth capturing on camera. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Day 3
Early breakfast and thereafter a drive to the Maasai Village, 20-30 minutes drive from Tented camp. The Maasai are a vibrant community who have held strong to their culture to date. Interact with this amazing community as you explore and embrace more about their culture. Lunch will be at the camp and then another adventurous game drive within Maasai Mara. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Day 4
Early breakfast and a morning game drive. Being the last game drive ,be on the lookout for what you might have missed during your stay at the reserve from the different wildlife such as Maasai giraffe, wildebeests, spotted hyenas, jackals, zebras, cheetahs, lions, impalas among others. Depart for Nairobi and arrive in the evening.

Western Circuit 4Days, 3 Nights Itinerary
Day 1
Depart for Kakamega from Nairobi. Lunch will be en-route. Pass by the weeping stone of Maragoli, a legendary stone. This is a huge rock from which constant stream of water cascades through hence the name. Arrive at lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Have breakfast at the lodge and drive to the Kakamega forest. This is a famous equatorial rainforest known for its diversity in birds and insect species. The rainforest, which is the only  one in Kenya, has more than 300 plant species and over 400 species of butterflies, many of which can only be found here. Many animals spotted here are the blue, Columbus and the red tailed monkeys, birds, frogs, porcupines and giant squirrels. Dinner and overnight will be at lodge.
Day 3
Have early breakfast and head to the Mt.Elgon National Park. The forest within the park is important as it is a water catchment area for the Nzoia River flowing to L. Victoria and Turkwell River flowing to L.Turkana. Also to see, are the caves formed from ancient lava tubes as well as cliffs, waterfall, gorges and mountain peaks ideal for climbing. The Kitum cave, in the park is known for the frequent visits by the elephants, bushbucks and buffalos in search of rich mineral salt. Enjoy a leisurely walk in the Saiwa Swamp N.Park, opened to protect the semi-aquatic Sitatunga antelope. Dinner and overnight will be at lodge.
Day 4
Early breakfast and thereafter depart for Nairobi. Lunch will be enroute. Arrive at Nairobi late afternoon and dropped at JKIA airport for departure flight.
