This is an ideal tourist destination for adventure seekers. This is where you will find the world’s largest crocodile population at Lake Turkana of over ten thousand in a single habitat and archeological sites. Close to Turkana are the National Parks of Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba. The award winning movie “Born Free” featuring  Joy and George Adamson’s was shot at Shaba. The diverse cultural experiences from Boran, Rendille, Samburu(meaning butterflies) and Maasai  is one that cannot be missed.

3 DAYS, 2 NIGHTS SAMBURU SAFARI
Day 1
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel and drive to Samburu N.Reserve home to the Samburu tribe. Samburu means butterflies and this community have vibrant colors from their ochre painted on their heads to their traditional attires. Arrive in time for lunch and thereafter a game drive. Boasting with the Special Five ; Grevy Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich, the reserve is unique for these animals that are not usually witnessed among Kenya’s great destinations.
Day 2
Full day games drive after having breakfast. This reserve has some of Africa’s most untouched landscape and a popular place for leopard sightings among other cats. The savannahs and forests mean that wild dogs (best hunters of the wild) as well as herds of elephants are easily spotted. Dinner and overnight will be at camp/lodge. You will have a picnic style lunch in the bush or return to the camp for lunch. Dinner and overnight will be at camp/lodge.
Day 3
An early game drive, then have breakfast at camp/lodge before check out. Depart and arrive at Nairobi in the evening.
